I'm sorry ...

"I explained to them that no no no I wasn't gonna be their teacher no more."

These was words outta tha mouth ofa DISD teacher on the news tonight. God help me. I feel bad for the Dallas teachers that were laid off today. DISD is, and always has been, run by a band of idiots. They need to go into that building on Ross Avenue (er ... chavez blvd. ... whatever) and fire everybody immediately and just start from scratch. Seriously, I'm pretty sure the education offered at DISD schools wouldn't suffer. Well, we'll say "education" because it's pretty much just a high school diploma handed to you after 12 years of showing up for enough days out of the school year. It's not like you have to pass your classes or know how to read to graduate.

How do you get a teaching certificate when that's how you speak? Never mind the college degree necessary.

I'm just shaking my head.

Yes, I am well aware my grammar is horrible most of the time ... I AIN'T NO TEACHER, IS I?

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh boy, I did not have the 'privelage' of hearing that first hand...how disappointing. Yes, DISD has appalled me over recent years, there's always something going on. I hope they can get their $#@& together.

UGGGHHHHHH!!!!! I am SOOO with you on this- I have very little patience for poor grammar!!! I could go on for days about all the things that bug me, specific things that people say that make me wonder how they graduated from any high school or college! No matter what degree or diploma is hanging on their wall, people with poor grammar sound like uneducated idiots!!!! I just might write a whole blog post about all the things like this that annoy the crap out of me!!!! :-o
