Baby #2 Update

I had an OB appointment and an ultrasound today. Aside from being taken in an HOUR late ... for our 7:45 am appointment ... we had to wake up early, actually wake Megan up early, and bust our asses to get there on-time ... everything was good. She is definitely a SHE. So Megan is going to have a little sister. She is measuring right on schedule at 17 weeks 0 days which makes me due Friday, March 13th. We are so excited. I've started to feel a little movement but I'm still not sure if it's her or, you know, just gas. My doc had to take blood for the spina bifida test and her girl stuck me once, dug around in my arm for a while, then got some other girl who had tats on her hands to stick me in the hand to get the blood. OUCH! I also got my flu shot! YAY! I'm ahead of the game so I better not get the flu. My arm hurts but I won't get sick! I still haven't gained any weight and, in all honesty, I've been trying my hardest. I guess I need to start eating better and not worrying about it if she's not really worried. Maybe I'll start tomorrow since my diet today has consisted of Sonic and McDonald's. tee hee hee! Don't tell my dietitian!

I put Megan on the floor in the living room while I ate my lunch at the table in the kitchen. I heard her giggling the whole time as she was playing with her teddy bear and opening the drawers on the other side of the coffee table and basically making the room look like a tornado had touched down. When she reappeared on the side of the table by the kitchen, she had no pants on. The little booger took her pants off and was just giggling about it! It was too funny! I don't think she knows how to do that so it must have been an accident because they're too long for her and she was probably stepping on them and "pantsed" herself. She just thought it was the funniest thing in the world! She has been a trooper today and I think we're both looking forward to a nice long afternoon nap. Of course, since I had McDonald's for lunch I need to do some chores before resting to work that blood sugar down! ;-)

Hope all is well with everyone else! I'm off to make a list of things I need to get done before James gets home tonight. It really does look like a tornado touched down ... like we haven't had water or power for days by the way things are stacking up in the sink and the laundry hamper!

Oh - BTW - caught that debate last night. Go Palin! Say it ain't so, Joe! Even networks other than FoxNews were giving her good reviews though their websites today all said Biden 'won'. whatever. Either way, with his extensive experience he should have smoked her and he didn't. It was nice to watch.

YEAH for another girl! I know Melissa loves having 2 girls! Sisters will be great. My OB is notoriously running behind and it is very aggravating, especially now that we go every week! That is very funny about Megan-kids are so silly!

Sorry to hear about the Dr. being so late- don't you hate that?!? :-o
YAY for 2 Girls! That is so exciting! :-) Meg will have to teach her baby sister all her tricks like 'pantsing' herself, too funny!!
Glad to hear everything is going well with the pregnancy. WOW no lbs gained and you even indulge in the occasional McDs and Sonic, rock on! ;-) I was kinda like that with my 2nd pregnancy, I had only gained 4 lbs at 20 weeks-it makes those fast food trips feel a little more guilt-free! ;-)
