It was a good weekend except for the fact that James had to leave for LA Saturday morning. :-( I hate that he has to travel on the weekends but he only does this twice a year so I guess I can suck it up. Saturday afternoon, Megan and I went to little Lexi's first birthday party. It was fun but I had to wake Meg up from a nap to take her there and she wasn't very excited about that. Then, when we got there, the party was in full swing and there were people everywhere so Meg had a bit of a meltdown. I think we might have a problem. She spends all day, everyday, with just me. Sure, we go to church and out to eat and shopping but none of those places are as loud and crazy as a house full of kids. She has no daycare experience so I think it's time to get some socialization. Both of us would benefit but I need to find people I'll have something in common with. Not sure where to start. The bars? Mexican restaurants? Maternity classes? tee hee hee!
We spent all day today watching football ... and I'm still watching the Steelers game. James' fantasy football game depends on Hines Ward so I'm texting him updates. My fantasy team kicked butt already! WOOHOO! I'm undefeated this season!!
I had to give Megan a bath tonight and had a little fun with her hair. Well, it dried the way I combed it. Maybe we won't go out in public tomorrow!! She looked so funny and I'm still laughing.
This is something she did yesterday and it's NOT good. To get down she would have to sit. If she tried to sit from this position she would fall on her head. There's no way to get that gate on the bottom of the staircase so I'm just going to have to keep an eye on her when she's over there. I helped her down this time but had to snap a pic first!

We didn't watch much football this weekend- it was probably a GOOD thing the Ags weren't on tv! >:-o
I would say just being in group situations would be enough for now to ease her into crowds but maybe when Baby #2 comes along Megan might benefit from a Mother's Day out program which is usually only 1 or 2 days a week for a few hours. I put Brooke in when I had Becca and she loved going- it was something fun that she could do and I got some bonding time with Becca. :-)
I have absolutely no advice for you about the crowd tolerance issue! but be sure to share once you figure it out!!! Megan looks like she is so proud of herself on that bottom step!
Yes - we're going to do mothers day out but the one at our church starts at 18 months so she can't go until next school year!!! Registration is in February ... and I think we have to volunteer at the Church to get some points or something to be priority so I guess I need to look into that and other programs!
She is JUST SO CUTE! I love the pics!
