The thing about habits is that they're so hard to break. Sometimes, you don't really want to break them but you know you should (like an addiction to Halloween Candy when you're a gestational diabetic) and sometimes they're seemingly harmless but you just can't seem to kick them. I'm talking about the latter of the two. Yes, I know I shouldn't be eating candy, which is why I haven't bought any yet but it still finds a way into our house, and into my belly! ;-) My bigger problem is the somewhat harmless addiction to SHOPPING for Megan. It can't be bad ... it's fun and makes Megan happy when she gets a new toy or something but mostly it makes me happy.
Until the bills roll in! Or until I have to explain to James why I spent so much. Does she really "need" that $12 tee from Gymboree? Probably not. But it sure looks so cute with those leggings (which I'm sure she didn't need either)! Does she really need that Thanksgiving top from Carter's that says "Thankful for Mommy"? No, but her tops always say thing about Daddy so I wanted something with "Mommy" on it!! She has more clothes than I do and I'm not constantly changing sizes!! Well, I kinda am growing but I'm shopping to increase that collection too, for some crazy reason!! I think I need to stay home and figure this out. Oh right. I can shop on the internet like when I bought that "Future Aggie" maternity Tee that I'm pretty sure I didn't need. Don't we all need something maroon to wear on game day? Right. Not when our team is so bad we're not sure we want to advertise who we're rooting for. Poor Aggies. But I digress ... Is shopping really a bad habit? Yes indeed. Have you seen what gas costs these days? Have you bought a gallon of milk recently? Do you know how much a case of beer is? (Oh, pipe down! The beer is for James, the milk is mine!) I haven't checked what the DOW is doing today. I'm really not sure I want to know. So I spent the day at Carter's and Target. Probably not the best way to save money. But I sure did have fun!!
I think tomorrow I'll shop for the new baby! hee hee heee!

I have to agree shopping is an addiction!! I've been off of work on bedrest, but internet shopping is definately fun as well. Especially when you have little girls, there is soooo much cute clothes out there! I/We already have 2 Christmas dresses and 1 Christmas romper for our daughter who is not even born yet!!! I have tried to tame down though because she does have more clothes that me already!! Enjoy shopping tomorrow! hahaha
Jenny, as usual you CRACK ME UP!!! I don't know what to say, except I can only sympathize with the shopping addiction, especially when it comes to shopping for our kids! Isn't that the greatest shopping experience...we get to feed our addiction, but then we get such JOY out of giving to our children! I have to admit, I think those of us with boys get off a little easier, as there just isn't AS MUCH to splurge on in the clothes department...but toys (action figures, cars, etc.) are a different story!
But you can justify all the clothes for the second girlie that is coming along! I swear when I found out the second was a boy I went crazy thinking I would get a lot of use out of it!
Yes...I admit it...I am a shopaholic too!! My Girls have more shoes and outfits than they can wear and yet, still, I BUY BUY BUY!!! :-D And who can resist Halloween candy?!?! ;-)
