So here goes! She had a few celebrations this year. She had to go to school on her actual birthday and insisted on bringing donuts for her class instead of cupcakes. Usually I would love the idea that I could buy instead of bake but day old donuts are gross so we had to leave 30 minutes earlier than normal for school so we could drive through Dunkin. We made it on time!! I totally rocked it that morning. After school, we went out for a treat at Megan's favorite little coffee shop. Well, it's also a bit of a bakery and they have ice cream too and the cutest little kids table set up in the corner with a big bowl of crayons. It was so long ago that I don't even remember but I'm pretty sure we had Grammy and Grandma there too. Then we went home to open presents from Grammy and Grandma. That night we had cupcakes after dinner, as a family, and opened more presents!! Lucky (read: spoiled) little girl. But cute as can be, don't you think?
She even let Emily open one!! WOW!
Rapunzel's Tower ... SO EXCITING!!
Megan's birthday party was held at Indoor Safari Park. We had been there a few times and the girls absolutely LOVED the place and Megan had been asking to have her birthday there just like her friend Amber. Since I'm all for no-clean-up parties that somewhat entertain your children for you, I was all over that idea!!! :-) They have climbing play structures, play tables, mini golf, ball pits, a small train and electronic animals to ride. A little something for everyone! Then there was pizza and cake. A good time was had by all (and after the party, more presents to open).
Emily on the train. Megan is behind her.
Megan chose to ride the zebra.
Emily and some friends (Becca and Amber) waiting their turn.
Becca's boots were a big hit with my girls. Very shiny.
Should I be concerned that she is already surrounded by boys at her 4th birthday?
And that she looks so happy about it?
That's Gabe and Bennet from her class, this year and last.
I think she had a pretty good birthday, after all that celebrating. I'm pretty sure she's ready for her next one, though I'm not sure I'm ready to have a 5 year old. Time sure goes so fast when you're watching your children grow up. I think I'm so taken with Matthew because now I know. Now I know it doesn't last forever. Now I know you have to snuggle as much as you can while they're babies. Now I know ... and I'm learning more and more each and every day that these little kids are growing up.
