Christmas Day

This year we decided to do something different. Since the kids are young and would most likely be wiped out and cranky by the afternoon (and Grammy had to go to John's and Uncle Coach was headed to the Mavs game) we hosted Christmas Breakfast! We had biscuits, donuts, and a pretty yummy (if I do say so myself) bacon, egg, cheese and potato casserole!! It was so much easier than trying to get everyone to eat all at once, kids included. I think we have just started a new tradition. That night, I made my first ever rib roast. I was afraid I was going to mess it up, the meat alone was $40, but it was perfect and James was very very happy!!

There is nothing better than the pure excitement of a child on Christmas morning. Especially your own children and especially if you have spoiled them rotten. Sadly, I couldn't convince Megan to wear her Christmas PJs to bed on Christmas Eve.

No, neither of them can Hula but neither can I. They like playing with them in other ways.

The Barbie (Blair, from Princess Charm School) that she specifically asked Santa to bring.

Emmy asked Santa for some new Play-Doh!  That man is GOOD!

Grammy helped Matthew get into things too! He LOVES that toy.

After everyone left, we took the party outside into the cold. The girls wanted to try out their new bikes and they needed to run off some of the cookies.

No helmet?!?!?!
Oh what terrible parents we are!

Still standing strong as two of her favorite gifts.
Ariel's wedding dress and a Rapunzel umbrella.

Emily and Matthew playing with Matthew's new loot.
