The Zantac did absolutely nothing for Emily so we started her on Prevacid. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it makes a difference after a few days because it certainly didn't help right away. She was just absolutely miserable so I finally called the doc to see if there was something else we could do. We are also thickening her bottles with rice cereal. You would think this would help her sleep but so far, no such luck. She still wakes every 2-3 hours so we're ready to get some sleep as soon as she decides to let us! You want to know the best part about this reflux problem? Reflux medications are no longer covered by our insurance. No exceptions. Please, it's not like Emily can really chew a Tums if she has a little heartburn!! A one month supply of the Prevacid is $175. Needless to say we're hoping she grows out of the reflux soon!!
Megan is doing great, as usual. The time change has affected her sleeping pattern. She still goes to bed at the same time at night but she has been sleeping until 9 am! It has been REALLY nice for me since that means I can go back to bed after feeding Emily at 6 am. We moved her from the high chair to a booster seat that has a tray or can be pulled up to the table. She seems to like it and so does the dog since she's much closer to sniffing level (and feeding table scraps level) in the new chair!! We are also working on using the spoon. She likes the idea but doesn't quite get it. IF she gets food on the spoon, she usually turns it upside down on the way to her mouth. It's cute. Messy ... but very cute. She also finally added a new meal to her limited menu. She actually ate spaghetti the other night and a piece of garlic toast. James got home from work 'on time' and the three of us were able to sit at the table and eat dinner together!! Of course, we were constantly picking up Megan's sippy cup and trying to convince her to not throw food on the floor for the dog (or directly on the dog) but it was really nice since James isn't usually home in time for Megan's dinner.
Here are some pics of the girls ...
Emily's favorite place is asleep on someone. She could sleep forever like this.

Here's Emily "enjoying" some tummy time!
