Roly-Poly!

Megan is rolling over all the time!! It is great that she has this new ability but she hasn't quite figured it out yet. She has mastered rolling over from her back to her front, which seems a little backwards for a 3.5 month old but that's just how it is. She rolls onto her tummy then screams because she doesn't want to be there and can't figure out how to get back onto her back! It is going to be a long few days until she figures it all out. At least I hope it will only be a few days.

I bought her this new tummy-time toy that I honestly thought was going to be better in theory than in practice. I was skeptical but I needed to try something because she really hates being on her tummy and I haven't been pressing the issue (bad mommy!). I thought maybe if she was elevated a little she might enjoy it a little more. Well, the results are in and she really likes this thing. It could be better because the little mat that comes with it is so small but I usually put it on another blanket and surround her with other toys. The thing she's on spins around so she can actually move. It takes much longer for her to start fussing when she's on this compared to being flat on the floor and earlier today she actually smiled at herself in the mirror while up on it. Amazing! (Yes, that's another Aggie outfit.)

Last night I decided to set up her little booster high-chair thingy. We have a real high chair but it doesn't recline so she won't be able to use it until she's a better sitter. This one converts to a booster so she'll use it first then again when she's older! She hasn't started cereal yet but I figured she might like the view from up here better while I'm in the kitchen.

That tummy time thing is super-cool!! She will get the hang of rolling over both ways before you know it! I can't believe how fast she is growing, can you??? Doesn't the time fly so fast!??! :-)

I ordered the tummy-time thingy from Target online but babies r us has it too (online and in the stores too). It was $50 so I was worried about buying such an expensive contraption that might be a bust but she likes it so it was worth it.
