Merry Christmas!

Hey!  I'm doing my Christmas post.  Yes, I'm aware tomorrow is February.  Shush!  The day kind of dragged on because the girls were overwhelmed with the sheer amount of loot they had to open.  I think we could have stopped at 3 presents each and it would have been fine.  Of course, it wasn't us ... it was Santa!

The girls' stockings!
My mom made them!!

Here's the pile Santa left under the tree.

We cleared out all the old toys to make room for the new ones.  My living room hasn't looked this great since Megan was born and it hasn't looked like this again since this exact moment in time.  It was about 11 pm on Christmas Eve when Santa finally finished what he was doing.  Fat Bastard ate all our cookies too!

Good Morning Girlies!  Look what Santa brought!

Trying out their matching pink quads.  They thought they were so cool.  That damn Santa didn't think to charge the batteries though.  As the girls say, "oooopies!"

Opening the stockings.  If they had it their way, they would have eaten the candy for breakfast.

PERCY!!

Such a little Diva!

She just hopped on the couch and stayed there through it all!  Well, except for Christmas dinner where she begged for table scraps AND when she got to open her stocking with her ULTIMATE BUSY BONE!
Lucky Dog!

Not sure she quite gets the idea but it's cute.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Legos!  At this point, they were getting restless waiting for Grammy and Grandma to arrive so we started opening some of the smaller gifts.

Again, my little diva.  Looking for her Dora drums!

Megan helping Daddy assemble the dollhouse.  Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we have 2 little girls and they didn't have a dollhouse before Christmas.  They had a full set of Cars and a train table but no dollhouse.

Grandma and Emmy checking out some new books.

Daddy helping Emmy take care of her new baby.  Notice Emmy's right foot ... she loves those shoes and often wears only one.  Silly girl!

Grammy and Emmy hanging out.  No pics of Megan?  She just wouldn't stand still long enough.

Popped in a movie.  Emmy finally got comfy but Megan was still going strong!

Family nap time!  For everyone but Megan and Mommy!

It was a great Christmas for the girls and for us.  My mom, my brother, and  my MIL came over for the day.  We opened presents and ate all day long.  We had more baked goods on the table than real food and everything was so yummy.  MIL brought her German Potato Salad and my mom brought the Honeybaked.  I made the rest ... ummm ... Mac and Cheese and rolls pretty much rounded it out.  Oh, I think we had some veggies too and some frozen dishes from Honeybaked (Cinnamon Apples - the girls LOVE Cinnamon Apples).   I miss Christmas.  There are still a couple houses in our neighborhood with lights up and the girls are quick to point them out.  They really loved driving around at night to look at the lights so it was sad when we had to take them all down.  It will be complete chaos next year with three kids but it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!
