November - just a little late

Yeah, I know a Christmas post would make more sense on the 3rd of January but you're getting November.  we had a great month and a  little bit of a staycation the week of Thanksgiving so I wanted to share some pics.  See, we do some fun and educational things ... mostly we focus on fun though.  I'm not all about cramming stuff into their brains and I'm OK that my almost 2 year old doesn't yet know the alphabet (but to brag just a little, she does know most of her colors and can count to 5, so I'm impressed).

New Aquarium at Fair Park
Small, and a little stinky for the pregnant lady, but fun none-the-less.
It's still under construction so there were a few empty tanks but it was cheap!

The little one wasn't afraid of what was in the touch tank.
Megan wasn't a big fan but Em said, "Bring it on!"

Mostly, the ran around crazy.
It wasn't crowded and I didn't take the stroller so I let them have some fun.

Neither of them were big fans of the big touch tank.

The week of Thanksgiving we loaded up our circus and met our photographer at the Arboretum for some family pics.  The girls weren't exceptionally cooperative but we did have fun playing in the pumpkins and picnicking after we were done.  Luckily, Natalie got some good shots and I hope to post some of hers soon.  These are just a few my girls being silly ...

Also the week of Thanksgiving ... since James was on vacation ... we carted the circus to the Children's Museum.  It was a great day!  The girls really loved it last time we were there a year ago and I think they enjoyed it even more this time.  We definitely need to go there more often. If it wasn't 40+ miles away.  I'm not sure how easy it will be once our circus grows by one but we'll probably head down there again next fall/winter, if not sooner.

Planting seeds on the farm!

Giddy-up!

Water is always popular with these two.
I had extra shirts for both of them this time but only Em needed hers.

She finds a book and a drumstick.
Two of her favorite things to play with at home.

See, another book!

She LOVED this dollhouse and went right to it when we walked into this area.
I think she has one in her classroom at school but we didn't have one at home.
I know, 2 girls and no dollhouse.  Typical me!
Santa hooked us up though.

See, we had lots of fun!  I'll post Christmas soon (yea, right) but I think I should wake the girls up.  If they nap too late, they won't go to bed tonight and we just can't have that.
