I'm sitting at the computer just HOPING that Emily will actually take a nap. So far it's not looking good. I hate it when they fall asleep in the car when we're out and about because then they don't want to nap. I'm usually able to keep Megan awake by entertaining her so she's napping peacefully ... for now.
It was a blah Labor Day weekend for us. Megan was sick with a fever all weekend. She had a cough and was snotty but that really went away when the fever hit. She topped out Sunday night at 102.8, which is the highest fever she's ever had. You could just tell she didn't feel good. I had to call the triage nurse to get the correct dose for Motrin since she's a 30 pound 21 month old. Seriously, the box has dosage for children 12-23 months that only goes up to 23 pounds. Then the dosage is listed for 2 year olds up to 40 pounds or something like that. What's the mother of a giant baby supposed to do?
We weighed Emily the old fashioned "on the scale with her and on the scale without her" way and she's up to 18 pounds now. WOW! The preemie who didn't look back. She loves to eat. Especially when bananas are involved!! We're getting her eczema under control, I think. It had gotten really bad but finally cleared up with the help of some prescription cream and new moisturizers and soaps. We also had to lower her crib mattress because she is starting to pull up. She can't pull to standing yet but can pull up to her knees really well. She is still learning to sit on her own and can actually last a minute before toppling over.
and apparently she is NOT going to nap. I'll have to upload pics and tell you more later!
