Good weather and good times

After it rained for what seemed like an eternity we have finally been blessed with some great weather. It's that "almost fall" time of year when you need jeans in the morning and a swimming pool in the afternoon and we have been loving every minute of it! Here are some recent pics of our outdoor shenanigans ...

I turned my back for two seconds and Emily was OFF!

I guess she wanted to swing with her big sister!

Emily likes the big toys.
Unfortunately, Megan doesn't share for long.

Toddler on a mission ...
What? I have no idea!

The best way to have a baby outside.

Even the dog took part in our craziness!
Can't you see the excitement in her eyes?

Had a playdate at the park. The weather was great!
Until she got soaked and the breeze kicked in.
Luckily, nobody called CPS on us.
This time ...

Emmy loves to swing!!

I think Megan rode these horses for 30 minutes.
We might have to buy that girl a pony!
Right.

Other than playing we don't really have much going on. It has been one of those delightful ruts that everyone gets into sometimes. The calm before the storm that starts with Halloween and doesn't stop until after Emily's first birthday in January. Yeah, technically our storm shouldn't stop until after Valentine's Day but I'm pretty sure we won't be doing too much to celebrate my *gasp* 35th birthday when the time comes. We took a big trip to Sam's the other day and stocked up on crap. Saw a car accident happen (everyone appeared to be OK). Had the worst possible service imaginable at Chili's after Mass on Sunday. So ... that's it! Really exciting around here. I guess we do have some fun coming up. We have a birthday party to attend this Saturday and we actually get to watch the Aggies on TV Saturday night! (Don't get me wrong. I enjoy listening to Dave and Dave BUT it will be nice to actually see the action for once even though we will have to put the girls to bed in the middle of the game.) We're hoping to make it to see Big Tex and taste all the delicious deep-fried heart attacks waiting to happen at the State Fair the following weekend. We have a trip to the Arboretum Pumpkin Patch scheduled for the week of Halloween. And then there's Halloween! The first one Megan will have any idea about and Emily's FIRST! WOOHOO! Like I said ... it's a delightful rut before the madness!!

What park did y'all go to? I haven't taken Katie to any parks yet with baby swings because I don't know where any are!

We went to Frisco Commons on McKinney. Coolest playground in town - big and surrounded by a fence with only one way in/out! Ground is mulch and sand so be prepared for a MESS!! :) I'll shoot you note next time we head up there!
