Father's Day Weekend

Somehow I'm pretty sure Mother's Day was only a "day" but we celebrated Father's Day all weekend long. What is that all about? Well, I have to admit it was more like a party for the girls than a day for Dad but isn't that what it's all about? I mean, they made Father's Day possible because without them it wouldn't have been a day for us to celebrate all that much. So here's what we did all weekend.

The girls LOVE playing ChooChoos.
Sometimes Daddy gets to play too but mostly he just builds the tracks.

We filled up the pool and took a dip before lunch and again before dinner!
It was HOT and the cool water felt really good.
Especially for James since he worked on the lawn all morning (Saturday).

Saturday night we had cupcakes!! Daddy HAD to buy them for his girls!
Megan licked off the frosting first then totally snarfed the cake.

Em pretty much played with the frosting and didn't eat much at all.
I really don't think the kid likes cake.
She sure likes being pink though!

Sunday we had a big breakfast at home. James picked up a cinnamon roll at the mall Saturday afternoon so the girls shared that while I made hash browns, eggs, bacon and toast. mmmmmm yummy!! After Mass we went to Gatti Town for lunch. Trust me, we didn't go there for the wonderful food. The best thing I had was a Diet Coke. The girls really had fun running around from game to game.
The girls eating lunch.

The girls on their first little ride.
It was really dumb but what do they know ... they're 2.5 and 1.5!!
They LOVED it.

They have a mini-carousel and the girls grabbed the gate and wouldn't budge until we found someone to run it for us.

Time for some skee ball!!

We traded in the tickets for some froggy clapper noise maker thingies then set off next door for Carter's. Mommy got to do a little shopping on Father's Day! You should have seen us trying to corral the girls in the store. They were running wild!!
