I should be in bed. Both girls are asleep and have been for about 2 hours. James is out of town though and I never want to go to bed when he's gone. I don't know ... the empty bed just makes me more lonely. Then, I sit down in front of the computer and it just sucks me in. Facebook and blogs to read and emails and shopping ... I could stay up all night!

Anyways, things are great here. Emily is still growing every day. She is almost 6 months old and is still a little behind in her development but I think she'll catch up very quickly. She's rolling over and loves sleeping on her tummy now. I chuckle at the video monitors, yes there are two on my nightstand, because both the girls have their butts in the air when they're sleeping. It's too cute! Emily is starting to sleep really well. Hopefully she'll be like her sister and be a good sleeper. Megan is learning new things too. It is so cute to see her kiss her sister and try to take care of her for me and goes running when she cries. I love watching her get Emily strapped into her car seat (no, she doesn't actually do it but she wiggles the buckles and pulls the strap). We've had a few play times at the mall and she is starting to understand interaction with other kids a little better. Too bad we missed the boat on Mothers Day Out programs up here for the next school year because I think she would really benefit. Registration took place while Emily was in the hospital so we just didn't think about it at the time. We still have lots of fun planned for the summer and there is still lots of summer left. yay? ugh - don't get me started on the heat!!

Such a boring post, I know, but we lead boring lives these days. I took some cute pics of James and the girls on Father's Day but I'm too tired to hunt down the camera right now. OH - we have actually gone to Mass the past weekends and it hasn't been too much of a nightmare with the girls. We get there early so we can get a good (aisle) seat and we take plenty of stuff to occupy Megan. It is good to be back there. I missed it. After Mass on Father's Day we went out to lunch at LaHaRanch (yum!). They have those little quarter rides out front and Megan got to ride one and she loved it. I wish I had the camera because the smile on her face was priceless!! We'll just have to go back! After our dinner of hamburgers and hash browns (hey, quick and easy. don't judge) we went out for ice cream!! Megan loves ice cream and I'm sure Emily will too in about 6 months! It was a good day!

You are too funny. You don't lead boring lives you just have two young kids that entertain you and keep you super busy. I love reading our blog and getting updates on how your life is going. :)

Nothing wrong with boring. or ice cream! that sounds like my life! We make it through Sunday Maass by sitting in the back row (that way there is no one behind us to be annoyed) and taking a bag full of toys and two separate bags of animal crackers because Sarah and Logan cant share. Whatever it takes man.... Stacy
