*#&$!%& Computer ... %*@#&$ McAfee!!

We have McAfee. It is supposed to guard our computers from the shit that hits the fan. Apparently it doesn't. We already had to rebuild our desktop because some dumb virus attacked and we couldn't use it anymore. NOW we have some crap on our laptop. I have run a virus scan, through McAfee, which we pay for, and it is coming up clean. BUT I keep getting this "security center alert" from "Windows Firewall" (which is not even enabled) stating that some worm trojan (hee hee) is trying to find its way into our computer. It wants me to click on the only available option, which is "enable protection" but I refuse. It was some stupid crap like that that screwed up our desktop. Click here and you'll be protected ... then the bomb falls and your computer self destructs. I know what's going on. I just can't fix it. How is a program that is turned off supposedly catching a virus that McAfee claims isn't there? I have run scan after scan and am getting a clean bill of health. I should sue for malpractice!! You can't just call McAfee and say "hey dummies, what's the deal?" because they charge extra for human interaction. You can do an online chat for free ... but did I mention that whatever is causing this problem on the laptop is also causing my internet to shut itself down? How am I supposed to have an online chat when I can't stay online? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! If you can't tell, I'm a tad irritated. We pay these *#$&%#$%^ to protect our computer and apparently they can't. What an absolute waste of money. You should see me now, sitting in the study with both the desktop and the laptop trying to figure this out.

On top of computer problems, James got the oil changed in our decade old 130,000 mile car this weekend and the guy said the wheels are getting ready to fall off. Literally. Some axle something or other is shot and needs to be fixed or he might end up in a ditch. SO ... the car is getting fixed too. At least we don't pay the shop to keep bad things from happening to the car then they happen anyways ... %$&*#& McAfee.

Did I mention it's like 27* outside today? We had the windows open while watching the Cowboys game last night and could just feel the wind changing and the air getting colder. It is BITTERLY cold out there right now. I had to venture out to take James to work because of the &#$&% car then we ran to Target to do some of Santa Claus's work. It's COLD. We have to go back to pick James up tonight so we can get the &$%*@ car back. BRRRRRRRRRR!

And to touch on the Cowboys game last night. yay, the Cowboys won. Yay, they might make it to the playoffs. Yay, the crowd boooooed that idiot T.O. Unfortunately, a terrible game out of the Giants fearless leader Little Brother Manning seems to have cost me a chance at first place in Fantasy Football. He scored me a whopping 3 points last night. So I'm down 24 points going into tonight's game and just don't see me pulling off a win. Of course, I didn't know that when I went to bed last night because of the &@#&^ computer. I couldn't look up my score on the internet!! @#&$^*^ McAfee!!!

I do have one good thing to report. I bought some Uggs this weekend. It's like walking on clouds. Wonderfully soft, heated clouds. It's like wearing slippers in public ... without getting all the funny looks! I was worried that my fat swollen feet would keep me in ugly shoes for the next three months but they actually fit. I love my wonderful heated foot clouds. I actually wore them out of the store on Saturday and my feet got really hot but on a day like today they were just the most amazing little boots. The only problem is I would actually like to wear them on the outside of my jeans but for some reason they don't sell "skinny" jeans in the maternity section. At least not in the maternity section that I can fit into. Oh, and I won't spend more than $30 on a pair of maternity jeans since I will only wear them for about 3 more months and none of them fit right anyhow. $#@%^ maternity jeans.

And speaking of maternity stuff ... I have an appointment and another ultrasound tomorrow. I plan to ask my doc why the pelvis feels the need to cause so much pain this time. I don't remember this pain the last time. If I sit for too long I feel like I can't unfold. It's the old pelvis preparing for birth. Stretching and making way ... Seriously, didn't I just do this? How much more does it need to spread?

Baby's room is still a work in progress, as is her name. Her furniture is ready to be delivered but they won't contact us for a delivery date/time until this Thursday or Friday. Hopefully we'll have it by the first week of January so we can finish up the rest of the room. The gameroom project is moving along quite nicely. We have cleared it out of all the little crap and moved some furniture around. James is planning to start painting this weekend and we ordered our wall storage unit yesterday and should get it the week of Christmas, we think. I am SO EXCITED to be getting some storage for that room. I just can't wait until it's all done but I think that will be a while. For now we plan to rearrange the existing TV set-up and weed out some furniture BUT our plans for the room include an almost complete makeover! Hopefully we can get some great deals at after-Christmas sales. James and I decided not to buy anything for each other this Christmas since we're doing the gameroom but it is turning into our most expensive Christmas yet! :-)

I think I'm going to check out this "Diet Hot Chocolate" I bought. I'm just cold and something warm sounds good. Let's hope it's not total ^@%#^@% crap.

Review: Diet Hot Chocolate by Swiss Miss. Not too bad. Of course, I had about 6 cookies with it so the "diet" part is out the window. They were small cookies. It was time for my afternoon snack. Seriously though, 4g carbs and 25 calories and it wasn't terrible. Maybe I'm just too far removed from the good stuff to know better ...

Sounds like a frustrating day! We had a problem with Norton & our computer so I know how you feel. I'm sure the rooms look great. When we took our car in for a minor repair we ended up trading it in! We didn't want to pay for the costly repair. I don't own Uggs but they look so warm and cute! I bet they are AWESOME for pregnant feet!

UGH, hate that!! My MIL was just telling me the same thing- she got a message that said to click to enable protection and got a virus! She spent all day on the phone with the people! Sucks! >:-(
Glad you got the Uggs! I have been wearing the heck out of my Emus the past months!! I am funny though- I don't wear them in the snow, just the cold b/c I don't want to stain the suede, ha ha! ;-) They are my cold weather boots and then I have my snow/wet weather boots. You can never have too many boots- last count I had 11 pairs!! They all go with different things so I NEED them all! ;-)
Can't wait to hear what name you decide on- Don't rule out 'Melissa,' it's a great name! ;-)
