I had another appointment with my foot doc today. They finally took some x-rays thanks to my OB sending them a letter saying it was OK and it appears that my foot doc was right. I have a teeny tiny little fracture in a teeny tiny little bone on my teeny tiny little toe next to the big one. I have been in this awful boot for 8 weeks and I know I will have at least 5-6 more weeks in it. booooo! She did say I could go without the boot if necessary ... I guess if I wanted to dress up and go out or something ... right ... ha ha ha ha! What am I going to do? A date night? right.
I also saw my endocrinologist today. In addition to my thyroid she's checking my blood sugar history with an A1c that shows how well my blood sugar has been controlled over the past few months. I am really worried about that so hopefully I'll get a good number and can relax a little. She wasn't happy with how high my "after-meal" numbers have been. They've been within the desired range, for the most part, but they are creeping up and I'm still very early in the pregnancy and the goal is to make it through without insulin. I have an appointment with their diabetes educator in a couple weeks. They'll probably have to tweak my diet (and they'll get on me for eating so poorly) but hopefully everything will work out. I do not want to go on insulin.
We had another busy weekend. We finally spent some time with MIL in her new place. Of course, we had to call her and invite ourselves over there. Like nothing ever happened. She seems to like her new place and I think she'll be happy once she settles in and can find her way around. She hasn't been to Mass since she left Houston because she doesn't know where the church is. We drove her by it but I still don't think she could get there on her own.
I'm sure we'll have another busy weekend this coming Labor Day weekend. We plan to finally get Megan's bathroom painted and done upstairs. I found a cute fishy shower curtain at Wal Mart, of all places, and we're going to paint the walls a nice bright blue. It's a Jack-n-Jill bathroom between the two bedrooms upstairs so we didn't want to go too girly with it, just in case ...
Happy Back to School day! I am SO excited school is back in session. No, Megan obviously isn't starting school yet but I am so happy to have the grocery store back ... and the mall back ... and restaurants back. Places are much less crowded during the week when the kids are in school. So Happy Back to School day to me!! hee hee
Megan is on the move so I better go follow!

Glad to hear that your blood sugars are mostly behaving. Hopefully that will continue without insulin. Too bad about your foot, that boot doesn't sound fun at all: especially pregant with an 8 month old! Enjoy the kiddos being in school, we are!
Sorry about your foot! :-( Hopefully you won't have to wear the boot longer than the 5-6 weeks max! I am sure it is heavy!
I hope that you can adjust things enough to not need insulin!! You get enough needles poked in you while pregnant as it is who needs more!?!?
I still don't have a feeling on what I think you are having... ;-) The fish bathroom will be cute regardless! :-)
