The Olympics have only just begun but I have already become an official junkie! I absolutely can't get enough of even the most obscure sports. I was watching Equestrian Dressage the other day. Seriously, it's a person, on a horse, trotting around an arena. The announcers are so funny with their judgements. "oh, the horse had a bit of a cantor pace for a second there". WHAT?!?!? hee hee! I caught some kayaking this morning as well as the US Women's Soccer team and the US Men's Basketball team both kicking some butt! Now, one of the Williams sisters is on the court in tennis. I was trying so hard to stay up for the Men's gymnastics last night but sleep won out. I did, however, stay up just long enough for the FANTASTIC 4x100 freestyle relay the other night and actually woke James up with my bouncing when we won! Coverage is on around the clock and when I know something is going to be on TV on a delay, I look up to see how it turned out then I still watch it! I enjoyed the rowing the other day and I just don't understand how those water polo players stay afloat! I would sink to the bottom after about 5 minutes!! One sport I just don't think should even exist is MEN'S synchronized driving. Somehow, synchronized just sounds too feminine. One last thought ... could those beach volleyball players wear any LESS? They're playing volleyball, in front of the President no less, in their underwear!!
I feel like I'm competing in my own Olympic events during the day chasing around little Megan, dodging her toys, hurdling the dog. She's up and down and all around. She sure can move quick for such a little girl! She's currently chewing on the drawer handle on the coffee table. hmmmm.

Now, I have to expand on the MIL situation. You may have thought I was nuts in my earlier explosion about the whole deal but wait until you hear this. MIL talked to James last Friday and said she was driving up Sunday night and staying with BIL and she would call us when she arrived. Sunday night, it was already around 7:00 or so and we had heard nothing so he called his brother. Of course, he got no answer so he left a message. No return phone call. MIL was scheduled to close on her town home some time on Monday. It is now Tuesday morning and we have still heard nothing. I don't know if MIL is in town, if she closed on her new house, when she's moving her things in, NOTHING AT ALL. My phone rang last night while I was putting Megan to bed but the caller didn't leave a message. When I checked the caller ID it was BIL's new cell#. Why didn't he leave a message? He didn't call James either. Now ... do you agree that this is just STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID? I just don't understand what is going on and why we aren't being kept in the loop but at this point, I really don't care. It's not my problem. I know it's bad to think like that about family but I just don't know what I can do, what I'm supposed to do and what I'm apparently expected to do. I'm not trained in idiot babysitting and I don't react well when people act like jerks towards me and I'm just too busy taking care of Megan and myself (and the dog and James and the house) to bother.
