Just FYI - I finally finished the Family Vacay, Part 2 post. Since I started it on July 19th, that's where blogger put it so you'll have to scroll down, if you're interested. :-)
The girls are napping. Why is that a big deal? Because Megan is napping in her big girl bed! The mattress arrived this morning and she seemed pretty excited when she first saw it. I had fun assembling the bed this morning, all by myself thank you very much. Stay at home moms with power tools ...
Which leads me to another reason I'm too cool for school. I hauled both girls to Home Depot yesterday for a new toilet flapper. James didn't believe that was all we needed to fix the running toilet. It's fixed. You're welcome.
Of course, we had other errands and each time we got out of the car Megan said, "No! Mall!". Apparently that's where she wanted to go so our last stop was the mall. They played a little then we had a pretzel while watching the ice skaters. After that was a ride on the carousel. Then, when I tried to do a little shopping, all Hell broke loose. So we left.
By the way, if you have 2 kids who want to ride and you only have the single stroller, all hope is not lost. Recline the seat all the way and one can ride behind the other. I'm pretty sure I've seen people do that before and I'm pretty sure I laughed at them for not having a double stroller. Oh, and my girls made sure everyone looked at us as they were screaming at each other for more space.
*sigh*
Did I mention that the girls start school September 10th?
