... but only when she feels like it. We've been working with her and kind of forcing the issue and it's working. Check her out!! We had an Easter Egg Hunt with our play group and she was standing up holding on to the stroller. The next thing I knew, she just walked off! It took me a minute to get the camera rolling so she was actually walking for a while before I got this video. I'm so ready for her to walk. So ready.
On another note, Emmers had her 15-Month check up on Tuesday. The good doc was extremely pleased with how she's growing and developing. She lost a little weight with her tummy virus and had a little dip just because she's not eating formula and baby food all the time anymore so her weight gain has slowed just a little. Here are her numbers ...
- 22 lbs. 2 oz - 50th percentile
- 31.3" tall - 75-90th percentile
- 19.3" head - still off the charts
I am amazed that those numbers are for her actual age. They do have preemie growth charts so I'm sure she would be a pretty big one-year-old for a 30 weeker. It's just incredible watching her grow so big and strong. She amazes me every day. As for her development, the doc says she's at about 13 months gross motor and 15 months verbal/social. Since she technically should only be 12.5-13 months old, anything between 13-15 months is completely acceptable and normal for her. I was so happy to hear that!! She has a few words now ... mama and dada of course, then ball, bubble, and maybe dog and book but I'm not too convinced on those last two yet. The doc said to ditch the bottle, cold turkey. Right ... and he's the one that has to listen to her scream? Should be an interesting process so I'll be sure to bitch about ... errrr ... keep you updated on her progress. He said to ditch the bottle before addressing the pacifier. Good times coming up. Good times.
