Easter

Our morning started off like every other ... with a 6:30 am scream-fest upstairs. My girls apparently gave up sleeping late for Lent and obviously they don't understand Lent is over. I miss my mornings. My nice quiet leisurely mornings. Now I'm rattled out of bed by crying and yelling. Anyways ... back to Easter. Since we were up so early we decided to shoot for the 8:30 mass. We arrived before Mass began and actually found seats but they weren't together. I was sitting with Em and James had Megan a few rows up. It was a nice service and SO VERY CROWDED. Our church definitely had it together this time though. Christmas Eve was a nightmare and not well organized but Easter Sunday was fantastic. Communion was a breeze even for those "attending" Mass out in the courtyard. Kudos, St. FOA. Kudos! After Mass we hit McDonald's for breakfast since James finally felt like eating again (he was sick - still is). Megan ran straight back to the play place and took off her shoes and started running around, acting like a two year old. She doesn't usually do that - maybe she's learning what McDonald's is all about? When we came home we finally investigated what the Easter Bunny left for the girls!

Emmy's basket. She wasn't sure what to think!

Megan went straight for the stickers and started passing them out.

... until she noticed the eggs were filled with treats!
We filled them with Puffs, Cheerios, Goldfish, etc.

Emmy found her Puffs!

Megan made a nice pillow for Daddy.

Gold Ol' EB brought Megan some PlayDoh!

Even Kaitlin (unwillingly) joined the festivities!!

Grammy brought baskets too!!
Grammy's baskets had CANDY!!

After we ate it was time for the Egg Hunt!
Megan figured it out very quickly.

Emmy didn't quite grasp the concept.

She did have a little fun though.

After Megan found all the eggs it was time to play.
MORE BUBBLES!

MORE SWINGING!

Love the idea of puffs, cheerios, and goldfish in the easter eggs. Will have to make mental note for next year.
