Emily is ONE

I can't believe what a year we've had! The little one is finally ONE!! She had her doc's appointment today and is absolutely perfect!!
21 pounds 8 ounces 50-75%
29 inches tall 50-75%
Keep in mind those percentages are for termies ... kids born when they were supposed to be born, not 10 weeks early. So, even though my little girl was born 10 weeks early, she can beat up 50% of the one year olds out there. :-)
Everything else checked out fine. She's around 12 months on her gross and fine motor skills. Her only issue is eating chunky food and apparently that's more parental error than anything else (er ... I should be making her eat the stuff she doesn't like). She is a little delayed on feeding since she was a preemie (didn't have rice cereal down until about 7 months) but should be getting the hang of self-feeding soon. Hopefully.
We have been really busy lately enjoying James' TWO WEEKS OFF! I have lots of pics to update on my pics page and hope to post some more here too sometime soon. We have Christmas and all the fun leading up to Christmas. Emily's Baptism was just last Sunday (squeezed that one just before she turned one) and her birthday today as well as her party coming up this weekend. While James was off we made multiple trips to the malls to play (because it has been way too cold to play outside here) and we even went down to the Children's Museum! So, more later! I need to start taking down the tree and the indoor decorations if it's going to get done. I sure picked a good time to stay at home and do that though since it's going to be below freezing for the next 72 hours. WELL BELOW. When did I move to Fargo? Seriously. I'm SO contributing to global warming causes ... and politicians who support such ventures ... er ... right.
