Emily had an appointment with the hematologist on Thursday. Her numbers are still a little wonky but are on the rise and are within the acceptable ranges for a baby her age. The doc isn't concerned at all and was really impressed by how she looked! His first words were "WOW! That's a totally different baby!" I wasn't sure I believed that he remembered but I guess it's possible. I really like this guy but I hope to never have to grace their offices with our presence again since pediatric hematologists are oncologists. We go back in July when she's 6 months old and hopefully that will be it.
We were all packed up and ready to go out to eat tonight when Emily had a meltdown. She just started crying and wouldn't stop. She wasn't hungry because she had just been fed and she wasn't wet or dirty because she had just been changed. Usually when she cries like that she just wants to be held but that didn't make her happy either. She just screamed. So, James started making dinner for Megan and we didn't get to go out to eat. It was so beautiful outside we were headed up to our local BYOB Italian place to sit on their patio for an early dinner. I even fixed my hair and put on makeup!! :-( I guess it was better that she did that before we went than while we were there. We ate a quick dinner at home and went to the park so Megan could swing then we loaded up the girls and went to Marble Slab and sat out on their patio with our ice cream. When we got home, we watched the end of the Astros game (we won!) so it ended up being a good night.
I just looked at Megan on the monitor and she has her PJs unzipped down to about her belly button. I hope she's not cold!! :-) She LOVES zippers. I guess it's time to do away with the zippy jammies until she is over that fascination.
Go Mavs! Beat those Spurs!!
