One Month Already?

I can't believe it has already been a month since Matthew surprised us with his presence about a week early than scheduled (but much later than expected, quite frankly). He had his one month check up yesterday and I also had to take Emmy in for a rash on her feet so I took all 3 kiddos to see the good doc yesterday! Emmy just has a little eczema and the Crocs are to blame. She has some new ones now, that fit better, so maybe it won't be a problem all summer long. I tried to call them to find out what I needed to put on her feet but they wanted to see her since it had been 2 years since her last eczema diagnosis. So, yeah, they got paid twice for the same appointment time slot.

Back to The Boy. I almost fell over when I put him on the scale. The kid weighs 10 pounds! At his 2 week visit, 2 weeks ago, he weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces so he gained more than 2 pounds in 2 weeks!!!

Yes, another big headed baby. He's also my biggest kid so far. Megan was 9 lbs and 21 inches long with a 14.5 inch head at her one month appointment. Emmy was still in the NICU at a month and still weighed less than 5 pounds. It is amazing how different these children are.

We're still not sleeping a whole lot at one time but he's definitely on a schedule. He eats between 9-10, again between 12-1, and one more time around 3-4. He usually gets up around 6-ish but that's probably more because James is up for work. During the day he can go upwards of 4-5 hours between meals but that's because he is being held and soothed. In the middle of the night it's easier to feed him and put him back to sleep than soothe him off and on for an hour or two. I hope to move him into his own room soon but we need to get the monitor set up in there before we do that. It's nice that his room is downstairs and I won't have to go upstairs multiple times in the night to feed him. The best purchase we made for baby 3 is the glider. Silly to buy a new chair with your 3rd and possibly last baby? Nope! I actually use it quite a bit and I love it!

Off to try to catch a nap now. I took the girls swimming this morning and I am worn out!
