Really, I got nothing, but I haven't posted I a month so I thought I should check in!

I took Matthew to the doc last week because he was exhibiting symptoms of reflux. We started him on Zantac and he seems to be doing better. Zantac never helped with the girls so it has been a pleasant surprise. He was 7 weeks old at that visit (7 wks and 1 day to be exact) and he weighed in at 11 lbs 14 oz! I was curious and looked back to see what the girls weighed around 7 weeks to 2 months. Megan weighed 11 lbs 14 oz at her 2 month visit (which was on her exact 2 month "birthday"). At 7 weeks Emily had only been home for a few days and still weighed less than 6 lbs. So, yes, Matthew is our biggest baby, to date! He is starting to notice toys and is trying to smile but no big gummy grins yet. He is still sleeping in our room and I have no idea when he will move out. He is still spitting up and choking in the middle of the night and that makes me nervous. He only wakes once in the night to eat but he wakes more often than that and I have to give him his pacifier or reswaddle him to get a little more sleep. I am ready for him to sleep through the night and I know it will happen some day. I'm just happy to be getting some sleep right now because for he first 5 weeks I was getting very little sleep. He was up every 2 hours or so. We had to wake the girls up to feed them whe we first brought them home. Matthew doesn't like to miss a meal. :)

The girls are adjusting well to having a baby in the house. Emmy doesn't quite grasp the "be gentle" concept yet and Megan doesn't like waiting for stuff if we are busy with Matthew. I think they're happy to have me back after being on modified activity and post-surgery. I'm healed and am back normal, for the most part, and can actually pick them up again. I still have some pain and numbness at my incision site but that's normal. I have occasional back spasms too but nothing like the first 2 weeks I was home. At my 6 week appointment I had lost all but 1 pound of my pregnancy weight. Unfortunately my body shape hasn't gone back to pre pregnancy shape and none of my clothes fit. They're either too big or too small! How the Hell does that happen? How did I skip a size in my wardrobe? That's just nonsense!!

Emmy is just over 2.5 and we haven't had any sort of potty training readiness yet. She likes sitting on the potty but with her diaper ON. I know I need to get going but she really just doesn't seem ready. She is getting her "big girl" bed in a couple weeks and I hope to get rid of the pacifiers then. Don't know how that will work but it is definitely time. I don't know if I should admit this but ... Emily can spell her name and I didnt teach her! Obviously she learned that in school and I didn't even know she could do it until just a couple weeks ago. Over the weekend, I sat with her and wrote letters and asked her what they were and she identified about 98% correctly!! She's a smartie and I didn't even know it!

Megan is doing great. He vocabulary is increasing every day (so yeah, I'm watching what I say a little more). She makes me laugh with some of the things she's says out of the blue sometime. I asked her for two empty buckets and she replied, "coming right up!". She also told James, "you're making me upset!" when he was teasing her the other night.

We took them to see Cars 2 a couple weekends ago while my mom stayed with Matthew. The did really well in the theater even though the movie was a little over their heads. They got squirmy toward the end but were quiet and sat still through almost the whole thing. That's quite an accomplishment because it was a very long movie, for a kids movie. I loved the movie, b the way. Very different than the first but very entertaining.

It's almost 11 and I really need to go to bed. Everybody else is asleep and I was enjoying the peace and quiet but now I'm just tired. Night night everybody!

Oh - I typed this on my iPad so you'll just have to get over the typos and autocorrects!
