Insomnia

I guess insomnia isn't really an accurate description of what I go through because once I give in and close my eyes I don't have much trouble falling asleep. It's the 'going to bed' part I have a problem with. James is in NYC this week and when he's gone I just don't like going to bed. Pair that with Olympics coverage and we have a real problem. SO, instead of getting up and going to bed I'm going to blog about it. :-)

Speaking of the Olympics ... What the HELL is NBC's problem? Vancouver is west coast time. Events could be running LIVE but instead they're running taped during prime time. That makes no sense to me (a stay-at-home mom who has time to watch them live). grrrrrr NBC. Grrrrr! I have no will power and am always looking up the scores/results before the events air on TV. I understand there are only a few figure skaters that are in the running to the medals but do you think they could show some more of the skating that is going on right now? It's LIVE! It hasn't happened yet!! And still I'm looking up the scores online.

James is traveling too much. He was in Vegas last week and in NYC this week. He has a one-nighter coming up next week then he has a 2-weeker coming up. He's taking a lovely trip to Asia to visit the fabric mills and clothing factories. It's a learning experience, one he needed vaccines and visas for. He's none too excited about it but listen to all these places he's going: China (multiple cities), Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand. He'll be seeing some interesting stuff (and undoubtedly eating some interesting stuff - better him that me - yech). I might go crazy while he's gone so, friends, you have to come play!! I'm SO not cut out to be a single mom. God bless all the single parents out there. I raise a glass to you!
