The city had a "community parade" this weekend loosely associated to Veteran's Day so we decided to check it out. The weather was great and it wasn't too far away so we packed up the girls and the chairs and headed out. One thing I should tell you is that it was on Saturday, which is also college football day around our house. The Aggies were on TV that night so we were all wearing our Aggie gear (no, we won't talk about the game). I thought we looked kinda dorky until I realized our folding chairs are also maroon Aggie chairs so then I knew we were dorks. The pictures prove it. :)
Megan and James off to explore.
You can see the Aggie baby girls and the Aggie chairs in this one!
This was Megan's seat for most of the parade.
It was kinda neat we were all in our Aggie gear because ...
look who was here!!
This one's not Aggie related but look who else was here!!
In case you don't recognize her, that's Nastia Lieukin (or however you spell it). You know, the US Olympic Gymnast!! The rest of the parade included the various high school bands, drill teams, and cheerleaders. A handful of old cars and old military vehicles which were really neat and a few veterans since it was Veterans' Day after all. Some horses, lots of dogs, and just about every single (cub/boy/daisy/brownie/girl) Scout in the city (maybe the county). It was fun. Megan LOVED all the dogs and Emily HATED all the noise. We'll go back next year for sure!
