Another weekend down ...

It was a good one with some scary moments and some sad moments. OK, that's quite a lead-in for such an uneventful weekend! Saturday evening we decided to go out to eat, rather early to beat the crowds since we took Megan with us. We had no idea it was supposed to rain that night so we just sat at our little table in Chili's watching the storms roll in, crazy lightening and all. In case you haven't heard, our dog is insanely afraid of thunderstorms and has caused damage to our house and injury to herself during thunderstorms so we were a nervous wreck wondering what she was doing at home alone. Luckily, and I'm not exaggerating, we made it home 5 minutes before all Hell broke loose out there. It stormed for more than an hour and that poor dog just trembled at our side until it was over. So that was our scary moment. Our sad moment was coming home and finding the 'Yard of the Month' sign gone from our yard. :-( Poor James was so disappointed. I think we're going to find where it is now and steal it back!! ha ha ha! We went to the mall today so James could do some comp-shopping. His job sucks because he has to travel all the time and work so much but it does have perks! Who else can say their husband is a willing companion on a trip to the mall on a Sunday afternoon?! We got to check out Dillard's, Nordstrom, Childrens Place, Gymboree, and Limited Too. He had the bonus of having us along so he didn't just look like a dirty old man. :-)


As for Megan, she has had an eventful weekend. I don't really know how she did it but she was sitting up in her crib when I went to get her from a nap today. She's still not quite crawling but if there's something she really wants she'll do the army crawl to get there. It is getting very interesting around here with that little one! I can't believe she's 7 months old already.


I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend. I'm going to finish my glass of wine and be in bed by 10:00. I'm so old. But check out this smile. You can even almost see the tooth!
