Not much ...

We've been up to a whole lot of nothing. The weather is definitely becoming more "summery" so we've been spending more time outside. The days are getting hot and the a/c pretty much runs through the night. I'm still ready for it though. That winter was just a little cold, even for me, so bring on August. Please don't remind me I said that when you're reading posts in August and I'm bitching about the heat. We've been keeping up play dates with our play group and our other friends. I've made plans to go see Sex and the City 2 when it comes out and I am SOOO looking forward to a night out. Our last girls night out was on the one night James was out of town and my mom was busy so I am counting the days until I get to go see the movie. I'm also looking forward to what will probably end up being my next night out ... the Carrie Underwood concert in October!! WOOHOO!

Things are going well around the Starke house. Both Megan and Emily are adding words to their vocabularies every week. Megan likes sitting on her potty unless she actually has to potty. Unfortunately she has grown very attached to her Dora pull-ups and won't let us use diapers. You have to distract her and trick her to get a diaper on. The training pants aren't quite as absorbent and they're more expensive (and we have about 100 diapers in her size). Emmy likes sitting on Megan's potty too. Maybe I should start training her as well? :) They are starting to play together a little more but with that comes more fighting. Usually Emmy will pick something up that Megan decides she wants so she'll try to take it from Em. Then Em runs away with it as fast as she can (which, honestly, isn't all that fast yet) screaming along the way. It's really funny to watch but I guess I should be giving stern looks and time-outs instead of laughing. Em has finally started eating real food. She was eating nothing other than bananas, crackers, and cereal there for a while but we have now added chicken (grilled and nuggets), fish sticks, sweet potato and regular fries, peas and corn and sometimes carrots. She LOVES cinnamon apples from Chili's but doesn't like chocolate at all. Of course she eats all the breakfast breads; waffles, pancakes, french toast, toast. She still won't eat cheese or drink milk so she gets a lot of yogurt to get her dairy requirements in. She's just beginning to use forks and spoons, which just makes a mess but she has to learn, right? Both my girls love Cotton Candy Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins. And cookies ... oh the cookies ...

Arts and crafts time!
I really like the Crayola Color Wonder markers!

Sprinklers!!

Maybe she needs her first chemistry set?
naaaah!

This is how we spend a Sunday afternoon.
ummmm ... may be time to get a new pool.
OR a real one?

More arts and crafts time!
Poor Ems always gets stuck with the Handy Manny pics while Megan colors Pooh or Mickey.

Megan loves water. Playing in it and watering the plants.
She's Daddy's little helper!

A bucket of water!
What fun!

Awww! Daddy and the little one!

This was our first 90* day.
They're so cute playing together.
