Stroller Skating

We finally got to try out stroller skating. I read about it on a blog quite a while ago and, being the former roller rink rat I am, I really wanted to try it out. The neat thing about this place was that they allow push/ride-on toys for the kiddos. I was hoping both girls would sit quietly in the stroller (yeah, right) for the 2 hours we planned to be there but Megan wouldn't even get in the stroller. Good thing I brought her Pooh Choo Choo. She zooms around the house on this thing (technically it's Emily's but poor Em doesn't really get first crack at anything around here) so it was a perfect toy to take to the roller rink. She zoomed around the rink fast than I was skating and she had everyone else there laughing.

Why do rental skates have to be so terrible?
They haven't changed at all since I was 10.

ZOOOOM ZOOOOOM ZOOOOOOOM!!

Both my cuties on the rink.

Em was snacking and strolling. It wasn't very crowded and there was already candy on the floor so I didn't feel bad about letting my kids eat out there. No, I didn't let them drink. I figured a puddle might cause more of a problem for skaters than a crushed goldfish or two.

It really was a lot of fun. I wasn't too sure about it when I first put the skates on but the stroller really helped me keep my balance. It was a great workout too and I look forward to going back sometime. It was only $3!! Megan had so much fun she didn't want to leave and threw a little tantrum. She seems to throw these tantrums when she doesn't want to leave so it's a sure sign that she had fun and that we should do it again.
