I'm on a roll!

Two Mondays in a row I've posted. I don't have anything new to say but I do have a complaint. When did we (I) get so old? Seriously. I don't understand it. And when will the age thing catch up with the guys? We had a great time at a friends house Saturday night. It was good to see some of the people who don't always make it out. Something about a 2 year old and a new baby .. blah blah blah. Whatever! The guys have gotten obsessed with pitching washers. It has become something they can't stop. Like hitting the crack pipe. They can't wait for their next chance to play and they can't stop once they've started. Let's face it guys, nothing good happens after midnight so what exactly is the point of playing this game until 1:00 am ... and beyond? I'm sure we will all earn the hatred of our neighbors. Oh, and the recycle place will probably love the hundreds of bottles and cans a night like that is sure to generate. But what I don't understand is why? Why is this so important to the guys? And when did staying up so late drinking become a thing of my past? Am I bitchy and anti-social or just plain old? Don't answer that. I don't like either option so let's not treat this like a poll. ha ha ha! Seriously though, I love getting together with friends but going into it knowing it's going to last until the wee hours of the morning makes it a little less enjoyable right from the start. That and the fact that we'll probably do it all over again next weekend. It just wears on a 32 year old, ya know?

On top of that, I've agreed to work full-time this whole week. I'm about to face plant into my keyboard I'm so tired. 5:45 am sure comes early when you're used to sleeping until 7:45. The sun's not even out that early for crying out loud. My dog is still snoring at 5:45 am!!

On a lighter note, we took a Nissan Murano out for a test drive on Saturday. I really like it and it has a good amount of cargo space for a smaller SUV. It was a very comfortable ride. It drove much smoother than my poor old Maxima. I guess that's the difference 115,000 miles makes! HAH! I fell in love with the Murano and have decided that's what I want. For now anyways. I reserve the right to change my mind any time between now and 10 years from now when I'll actually have enough money saved up from my part time job to buy a new car. :-) Our biggest concern was if my giant husband would fit ... and he does. Now we just worry if it will fit in the garage with his truck. Minor details ...

I wish you all a very happy Monday and an even better week!

Hm- make sure it fits in the garage. Otherwise you will look like some un-named idiots (read the morrisseys) who have a 3 car garage that will only hold one car.

What is pitching washers? (Is that a dumb question?) Do you just pitch them at something? Am I really THAT old and out of the loop?!? ha ha ;-)
Lately I turn into a pumpkin after midnight too...
